Meet Brad

Dream & life Coach Expert

My name is Brad Jeffress. I was a producer/salesperson at IMA for 26 years before creating the Dream Coach position. When I started, we had about 20 employees in Denver and maybe 300 plus in total. I have seen a lot of change over the years. IMA is now has over 350 employees in Denver and 1,700 countrywide. I have been coaching/counseling/mentoring our employees since 2016.

Over the last 10 years of my sales career, I had this feeling that something was missing in my life. During that time, I had a few things happen in my life that has caused me to look at what I do and more importantly why I do them. I will be happy to share those with anyone as we meet; I assure you I will be an open book.

In February of 2015, I took a sabbatical. Leading up to that I asked a lot of people what they thought my gifts in life were and what they thought I would be good at if I didn’t do what I do. About 90% said I should do some type of coaching or mentoring. While on my sabbatical, I read a book called The Dream Manager and immediately knew what I wanted to do. The Dream Manager was about a company that was experiencing a lot of turnover and unproductive employees. They hired a consultant to explore what was causing this and found that employees had lost hope in life, they didn’t know how to achieve their dreams or didn’t even know what their dreams were. They hired a Dream Manager to help people discover their dreams and plan a way to achieve them. They started achieving them and productivity and retention went sky high.

In talking to a lot of associates before I left on sabbatical, I found that there were a lot of people that had a lot going on in their lives, and most had no one they could share with, so I saw a need for someone who would listen. Doing what the dream manager did, matched what I determined my why was, and that is to encourage others. to see their contribution, potential, and purpose in life. So here I am.

What’s Your Mission Statement?

I want to help people.  My mission is to encourage you so that you see your contribution, potential and purpose in life. I want to provide  encouragement, ideas and resources to help you find clarity and achieve your dreams both personally and professionally. I also want to help organizations look into the possibility of creating an internal life coach which can benefit their employee’s mental well being.

For over 33 years, Brad was an employee/owner of the firm, IMA. He was a salesperson most of that time and has since been inducted as one of the initial members of it's Sales Hall of Fame. Seeking to have more impact on people, he created the Dream Coach role which he has been in for the past 6 1/2 years. Who is IMA?

What is a Dream Coach?

WIZARD OF OZ

In the Wizard of Oz, Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, and the Lion, went searching and searching for Dorothy’s home, for a brain, for a heart, and for courage. They had all kinds of trouble along the way. And in the end what the Wizard told them was, what, they had it in them all along. It is like us, we search for happiness, and purpose and we do all these self-help books and stuff like that, and in the end, it is inside us all along. My job is to help you uncover that, and to help you find the things that are holding you back.

WISDOM

I can tell you right now. I am no smarter than any of you or have any more wisdom. What I do have is a lot of experiences over 65 years here on earth, in business, as a family man, and as a person trying to make it in the world like you are. I have taken coaching classes and gotten a Dream Manager Certification and read lots and lots of books and gone to many seminars. But it is my experiences – I have had health issues, motivation issues, lost loved ones, life balance issues, a suicide in the family, kid issues, marriage issues, a divorce, career issues, and relationship issues, a career change, a near death experience and more. I can tell you it usually isn’t the kids, the spouse, the family, or the job that causes the issues, it is usually something inside holding us back. A lot of times it is fear, we compare ourselves to others, or we don’t think we are good enough, or we think we are the only one feeling the way we do.

WHERE CAN I HELP?

I want to listen; I will not judge. I have the heart to help. I will not have all the answers or maybe any answers, but I will do all I can to help you find the answers inside yourself. This is all voluntary. What we talk about will be totally confidential. I won’t share anything unless I feel you are a harm to yourself or to others. I have numerous tools we can use, but a lot will just be listening, asking questions, and more listening, and doing all I can to help you be the best you want to be. Some feel it is a weakness to seek help. I have used coaches, therapists, and counselors, and I can tell you, whenever I did, it helped, I improved, and I reached a new level of peace. I have met with nearly 1000 different associates as a dream coach. I have worked with people on both personal issues and hopes, and business concerns and goals and I know I must earn your trust if you would like to ever meet we can start there. I look forward to talking whenever or if ever you would like
